The Unknown Remains, by Gu Xiong

The Unknown Remains catalog is an important legacy piece of Gu Xiong’s exhibition that took place at Touchstones Nelson Museum of Art and History in the Summer/Fall of 2019. This book is for anyone interested in the fascinating career of Gu Xiong; the history of Chinese culture in Nelson BC and elsewhere; and the merging of art, history and contemporary cultural discourse.  The book includes writing by: Gu Xiong, Andrew Hunter, Astrid Heyerdahl and Arin Fay w/ photos by the artist, and Jeremy Addington (Taghum Hill Photography). This book was designed by Hall Printings Bronwyn Larsen and hand bound (traditional Chinese stab binding) by local poet and  Linda Crosfield, Poet and micro-press publisher (Nose in Book Publishing).
