Rick Foulger, Landscape no 23

In 1967 Foulger studied for three years at the Alberta College of Art. He then completed his thesis year at the Vancouver School of Art, majoring in painting and printmaking. He went on to complete his Bachelor of fine arts degree at Notre dame university, majoring in art and philosophy in 1974. Since then he is a studio artist, art instructor and owner/manager of Cloudscapes Studio and gallery in Nelson BC.

Foulger finds inspiration for his art imagery in the unparalleled beauty and rugged terrain of British Colombia. Mountain spires draped in deep snow and glaciers. Valleys that are squeezed between majestic mountains and rib boned throughout are hiking trails and climbing routes. These access the peaks and gladded valleys that he uses to gain the unique vistas and vantage points seen in his watercolour paintings.
